Frequently Asked Questions
1. What makes your speech therapy practice different?
At The Milton SLP, we specialize in early intervention for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 1–5). Unlike larger clinics, our boutique-style practice provides warm, play-based sessions with a focus on early language development, parent collaboration, and consistent care—all from the same trusted provider. Additionally, we provide on-site services (e.g. in home, in daycare or childcare settings) which allows opportunities for language in natural environments.
2. How do I know if my toddler needs speech therapy?
If your child has a limited vocabulary, isn't combining words, struggles to follow directions, or gets frustrated when trying to communicate, it may be time for support. Visit our Instagram (@the.MiltonSLP) to learn key milestones and how we can help.
3. Do you offer social skills groups for young children?
Yes! We offer weekly small-group sessions like Milton Speech Sprouts, designed to support early social language, turn-taking, and peer interaction in a fun, structured setting for preschoolers.
4. Do you work with parents directly?
Definitely. We believe parents are the most important part of the therapy team. Through optional Parent Coaching and collaborative sessions, we help you use everyday routines to support your child’s progress at home.
5. How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Fill out our Contact Form or reach out directly. We’ll help you decide whether a consultation, evaluation, one-on-one therapy, or a group session is the best fit for your child.
